Gaming Day.

 Yesterday we had an esports team from Whangarei come up with Ten gaming Pcs, the Majority Of people Played Fortnite. I enjoyed the fact that we got to game at school, I learned that esports will be at the commonwealth. Thank you Tony From Esports Whangarei and Ryan and Jess from the ministry of Education for allowing us to have a great day.

The behemoths

 Last week we did free writing with our teacher, We had to pick a picture of pobble 365 and write about it this is mine.

The behemoths stormed through trees stepping on houses and people, The sound of women and children screaming catapults flinging massive boulders at the strange behemoths. Beside the behemoths, large ships flew above the ground too small to fit the behemoths but large enough to carry a village full of people. Ropes fell down from the flying ships men not far behind sliding down to fight the village below. Leaching boulder after boulder no one would break the mechanical flesh protecting the ones controlling it. My army wasn't from the village being raided, we were from a much bigger village looking for trade when we discovered the enemy.

We had portable catapults just in case, a large explosion happened when one of the boulders pierced the propeller of one of the flying ships. The ship was going down towards a behemoth, On impact, an explosive wave of heat shocked the ground knocking me off my horse. A patch of the metal skin was exposed allowing more and more boulders to penetrate the metal behemoth, The metal behemoth crumbled to the ground. 

The second behemoth spotted the mountain we were on, quickly my men jumped on their horses to escape, fear struck through my brain as I remembered my horse running down the mountain a few moments ago. Clutching my spear I sprinted down the mountain as a sideswipe from a metal hand smashed the side of the mountain. The hand missed and I dived behind a rock, a little glimpse from behind the rock revealed a small weak point on the beast's head. 

On the ground next to me my spear was laid, I was always good at throwing spears so I picked the spear up and chucked the spear at the weak point. The spear pierced the metal armor bringing the behemoth down. The flying ships were grabbed down to the ground using the massive crossbow down in the village. 25 years later a massive figure appeared in the ocean but was hidden by fog.

Today and yesterday our class worked on making a scratch animation about symmetry, reflection, rotation, translation, and enlargement. It didn't take very long but it was a lot of fun.

Today we had a session where we looked at the mapping of the sea. We got to look at what the divers were seeing thru underwater cameras. It was a lot of fun seeing all that marine life swimming past us.

We have learned about what a refugee is, what the process is when they settle in a new country and how scary their lives are.

Today we learned about esports and gaming in Nz. We learned about the jobs we could do if we joined the gaming community of Nz. They also showed us how much money we could make if we won one of these tournaments.

Author Visit

  Today we had a visit from a author named Martin Ed Chatterton who has written and illustrated lots of books around the world. He came today and talked to our class about writing books, He also came and drew two people. Here are some of those photos.
