 Climate change

To Start, Climate change is a global problem because of rising sea levels, extreme heat and even the melting of polar ice caps. The consequences of these problems are horrible, like if the polar ice caps melt anymore the sea levels will rise and we will be forced to higher ground, and that's not even the worst part there are a lot of bad things that could happen if we don't stop climate change.

Firstly, Climate change is affecting the world around us with rising sea levels, In the past twenty five years the sea levels have risen up about sixteen inches higher which is about forty centimetres. Now forty centimetres might not seem like a lot but that amount of water covering the whole ocean is a lot. Forty centimeters is two thirds of a meter, So imagine adding two thirds of a meter to water at a beach. That would be a normal day until a flood happens then the roads and beach side houses will be in water.

Secondly, the weather has been heating up, reaching max highs of 50 degrees in Australia in the past 25 years. The weather is so hot that it is melting polar ice caps all around the world, destroying habitats for polar bears, seals, sea lions, walrus and penguins. The extremely high temperatures have reached a high of eighteen degrees celsius in Antarctica, for someone who lives in a warm spot that gets temperatures similar to that  Antarctica is made of ice and snow which can melt unlike dirt and rock.

Thirdly, climate change is destroying earth's protection from the sun, the ozone layer. The ozone layer has been depleted in many spots up to seventeen percent. The ozone layer is able to regenerate but only if we stop the production of factories and find a new way to make steel and metal. If we deplete the ozone layer to low the world or earth will turn into a fireball.

In conclusion, you should know how climate change is a global problem, the consequences that climate change makes, what causes climate change and how we can fix it.

Why plastic pollution is a global problem.

In room four we started writing about an environmental problem around the world, The three options were How the moa became extinct, Why plastic pollution is a global problem and why flooding causes destruction. I choose Why plastic is a global problem.

 WHY PLASTIC POLLUTION IS A GLOBAL PROBLEM.

Plastic is a bad problem around the world because of all the plastic in the ocean, killing the fish, reptiles, mammals and their habitats. Plastic doesn't just affect the animals underwater it can also affect the animals that eat them. Although plastic is good for toys and all, it is still bad for the environment.   

Plastic pollution is happening around the world but some countries produce more which eventually will enter our environment. The countries that produce more are countries that have bigger populations like China, the United States, Germany and Brazil. Plastic takes four hundred and fifty years to break down and disappear. 

People can solve the problem of plastic pollution by stopping plastic factories or maybe just stopping making things like plastic water bottles or plastic lunch boxes. If we don't stop factories maybe people could do their part and reduce use of plastic like using something biodegradable instead. Plastic is not just harming wildlife but humans too, over four hundred thousand humans have died in the past year, that's a lot of people.

Some countries need to be especially careful because plastic is killing native habitats for animals like kiwis, koalas and little penguins. It is not just killing native animals it is also killing endangered animals like seals, sea birds, and turtles. Plastic kills over one hundred thousand marine animals every year, animals like whales, dolphins, porpoise, seals and sea lions. 

In conclusion, now you should know why plastic pollution is a global problem, how and why we can fix it and the damage it does to the world. By Brodie

Luke ¨ what do you mean?¨

Yoda ¨ Dogs are much better.¨

Luke ¨ How?

Yoda ¨ Well dogs actually care about you unlike some pets (CATS)

Luke ¨ OK bommer¨

Narrator ¨ Yoda and Luke walk off.

Set 2: Pet shop 

Scene 2:

Narrator ¨ Luke Walks to the pet shop

Luke ¨ Ok 1 Dog please¨

Shop owner ¨ What type of dog¨

Luke ¨ I guess a husky¨

Shop owner ¨ Are you sure our cats are on sale.¨

Luke ¨ Ok I will have a cat then¨

Narrator ¨ Yoda walks into the store.¨

Yoda ¨ (Uses the force then chokeholds the shop owner to death)

Luke ”  I have got the powers¨

Yoda ¨  noooo! The cat is controlling you Luke, You must unlearn what you have learned"

Set 3: Arctic 

Scene 3:

Narrator:¨ Yoda runs to the Arctic and steals a husky from the natives called Gohan, Yoda runs back to the pet store with gohan¨

Yoda¨ What happened to the town¨

Narrator¨ Yoda sees luke holding his lightsaber with the cat on his back¨

Yoda¨ You have joined the dark side Luke¨

Luke¨I am stronger than you¨ 

Yoda¨ You may be stronger than me luke¨

Gohan¨ But you are not stronger than me¨

Narrator¨ Gohan defeats luke and the cat that was controlling him¨

Narrator¨Gohan, Luke and Yoda live happily ever after until Yoda falls off a cliff. THE END

TRENCH WAFARE

TRENCH WARFARE 
Trench warfare was used in World War One as a way of defending land. It was also a way of hiding from heavy artillery such as machine guns.

Firstly trench warfare was a very important battle strategy used by all countries to defend their land but it was not just used for that, trenches provided a very efficient way for soldiers to protect themselves against heavy firepower and within four months soldiers on all fronts had begun digging trenches.

Secondly, although trenches sound nice because you can hide from all the bullets there is a catch. You can develop medical problems such as trench foot and trench fever. Trench foot was caused by standing in damp environments for too long. Trench fever is caused by falling into the muddy trench or the mud getting into cuts.

Thirdly trench warfare was mostly used on both sides of a piece of land known as no man's land because it was in the middle of the war so nobody owned it. Nobody owned no man's land until the war was over. 

Fourthly trying to sleep in a trench is not easy especially when rats run around in tins cans and make a lot of noise. But what is really bad about rats is that when somebody is shot the rats eat the corpse.

In conclusion, trench warfare was used in World War One like how trenches make shelter from enemy bullets but also what and how you can get diseases from trenches. How trench warfare was fought just out of no man's land and how annoying and disgusting the rats were.
